The Goethe-Institut is the world’s leading institution in teaching the German language and promoting German culture.

  • Founded over 60 years ago, with a global network of centres and courses in many countries.
  • Its certifications, such as the Goethe-Zertifikat, are internationally recognized and validate the language proficiency of German learners.
  • Its methodology combines academic rigor with pedagogical innovation and serves as a reference for teachers and students worldwide.

What is the DLL training?

Deutsch Lehren Lernen (DLL) is a teacher-training programme designed to prepare teachers of German as a foreign language in a practical, modern, and student-centered way. During the course, participants learn to:

  • Design effective and motivating lessons.
  • Integrate communicative and dynamic methods into teaching.
  • Adapt content based on level, interests, and student needs.
  • Apply strategies for teaching grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and oral and written expression in an integrated way.

The programme combines theory and practice, with a highly active and participatory approach that allows teachers to develop skills they can apply in the classroom from day one.

Through the DLL programme, I received advanced pedagogical tools to teach German effectively, modernly, and with a student-centered approach—enabling me to offer high-quality classes tailored to each level, goal, and context, for children and adults, both on La Palma and online.
